Enhance Your Streaming Experience with Speed Control Chrome Extension

It can almost replace other similar extensions but are there options in this extension that allow me to set speed of the current tab without affecting the background playing video with different speeds?

It is extremely difficult to find a video playback speed controller with both speed slider and dark mode, not to mention it has many advanced features as well. Chrome web store search is pretty useless. I went through many random "Try one of these alternatives" clicking to find this.

hey polywocker could you please add more semitones like 72 semitones up and down as when the next new update comes out you should make 72 semitones up and down and can you make the reverse button stay on too or no so I can reverse the audio or something

Thank you very much for the detailed answer. I've confirmed that it works well. I'd like to ask if it's possible to change the sound pitch using only keyboard shortcuts without pressing the icon. If that could be resolved, it's already great, but it would become even more perfect. I sincerely thank you for developing such a good app. Additionally, I understand that implementing image displays for marks and AB sections might be difficult, but it would be a great addition if it were possible.?

Is there a way to revert to not use the font of the site for the indicator? or to choose your own font? The indicator font change for every site

Global Speed is THE best chrome extension for medical students. It should be built in. I love telling other students about it because we really need something like this to speed up through the parts we know and slow down and skip back to review certain parts of lectures. The app is incredibly intuitive and I also love the great customization features. Would gladly donate to show appreciation to the devs. GS is a time saver and therefore a life saver.

Has been working perfectly for a long time now. Thank you to the devs! Weird-case request, if possible, could we push it past 16x playback? If not, the extension is perfect as is. =)

not working anymore pls fix cant even access the settings page just blank page Edit no reinstalling doesn't fix it. tried removing all saved data from it and reinstall didn't work either even changing the play speed doesn't work either. I don't have those red numbers on the extension icon the play speed doesnt work either so does not work on YouTube either

Hello thanks for the reply, but I forgot to say that also inherit global was enabled, and I don't want to be rude but I still think it's a bug, since it came out of nowhere, I didn't change any setting. I don't understand why it has to decide a new speed for all new tabs every once in a while.

This is a really slick app. The UI is basic but don't let that fool you. It works really well for me on Windows & Chrome browser.

Cool features, but ehy sound effects propagate on other tabs, I just use it for music. an option to work locally on one tab? also the element effects stopped working and need to be turned on again for each tab. Still a handy tool though, hope you can fix it!

I used it with no problems for months, but now the default speed for all new tabs become a random number that I've just used for a while like 1.62x instead of 1x, even tough I never set such rule in URL rules... what am I doing wrong? Reply: Yes, I've tried multiple times reinstalling it and changing various settings but nothing worked. By the way, the "random" speed is also written in the exported file, so the problem persist even with export unless I change the speed number on the file. This is the line of code where the speed is shown: "enabledLatestViaPopup":false,"lastSpeed":1.65,"monoOutput":null,"speed":1.62},"darkTheme":false, Can you understand it?

Thank you for creating this extension, I disabled three other extensions thanks to this single one. One thing is it would be useful to create multiple filter effects and enable them or switch between them with specific shortcuts.

I want to disable a specific shortcut only on a specific site cause I use the same hotkey with another extension but global speed overwrite it. Is that possible?

works exceptionally, it's only the pitch adjusting that needs some work from my experience (although i never rlly needed to use it often)

Amazing indispensable tool, but why does it only disable fx on URL rules sites? Can it be activated for them too? I also set pin by default but is there any way to set a default initial speed for any new tab? Thanks

Please please please, could you also add customizable shortcuts for youtube? like - next video, previous video, save to playlist or like... this would be even more useful.

Thanks Polywock, you've done a great job with this. I am using it for Udemy, Rosetta Stone, and Youtube. On Rosetta Stone, it speeds up the audio, but not the pauses between audio clips. Do you have any ideas?

Thanks much for the extension. How to not decrease to 0.07 speed? I set to standard 0.25 increase and decrease, but when I accidentally decrease too much (below 0.25) it goes to 0.07 and restart from there, so you get unequal numbers like 1.32, 1.57, 1.82 not equal like 1.25, 1.5, 1.75... I hope the the message is not too complex, I know I wrote poorly.
